Making Up Missed Meetings

Rotary members are encouraged to maintain regular attendance at their local club meetings.  When it becomes necessary to miss a meeting, there are a number of ways to make up that meeting:

1. Attend another Rotary Club meeting as a guest.  Below are some of the nearby clubs, meeting places, days and times:

3. Watch Rotary International Channel videos on YouTube or Vimeo. Report your viewing totaling 20 minutes or more in length to the Batesville Rotary Club Secretary or President.

4. Watch an online TED Talk that has as its subject one or more of Rotary’s Areas of Focus:

  • Maternal and Child Health
  • Basic Education and Literacy
  • Economic and Community Development
  • Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution
  • Disease Prevention and Treatment
  • Water and Sanitation

Report your viewing to the Batesville Rotary Club Secretary or President.

Possible Future Projects

  • We are talking about helping with a fund- and awareness-raising event for the Ripley County Humane Society. This could include a pet adoption program held at Batesville’s Liberty Park.
  • In case we decide to discontinue the Sawdust Days event, we’ll be looking for another fundraising event to take its place. Discussion continues.
